Week 18

My little girl is 18 weeks old, can you believe it!?! I can’t. Here are a few gems from tonight. Here is a photo of Ella after a bowl full of rice cereal.

Belly full of cereal

And here are a couple videos. The first is my feeding her. I know, you’ve seen this before. But for my bro-in-law Taylor, the background noise is, in fact, me watching reruns of Beverly Hills 90210 (from 1992 with guest stars Color Me Badd, no less). Just for you.

This one is of Ella talking. She likes to talk, a lot. She’s going to be just like her Grandma H. I can tell already!

4-Month Visit

Yesterday I took Ella to the doctor for her 4-month checkup.  She is now 15lbs 5.5oz and only 23 1/4″ tall.  So, 85-90th percentile for weight and 20th percentile for height.  I think that makes her a basketball.  I can’t believe she’s only grown 4 inches since birth — she seems so much longer.  We may need a second opinion.

First Eats

Today I gave Ella some rice cereal for the first time. She didn’t get much in her mouth, but what she did she liked!

And, the word on the exersaucer — she likes that too!

Saucer

And unfortunately, Alex is still sick. We may need a repeat visit to the doctor :(

My Little Valentine

Today is Valentines day. Alex is sick — really sick. We spent 3 hours at the insta-care clinic yesterday to get a diagnosis of Influenza — and a 103 fever. He’s on the mend… but we’ve been keeping Ella at a safe distance. Both Grandmas sent little packages for Ella — and she is seen sporting Grandma B’s tshirt and Grandma H’s “love bug” socks and red shoes.

We also found a exersaucer on Craigslist. The jury is out on whether she likes it or not….

Update…

Man, I’m bad at this blogging thing. Here are a few new pictures. This past Saturday Uncle Taylor came to visit.

Taylor and Ella

He was only here for a day, but he got to hang out with Ella — so it’s worth it. We went to breakfast at the Farmer’s Market, and realized that Ella did not have the proper sun protection. So after a trip to Target, she’s set.
